Slice of Life Day 19: Cornfield and Cypresses

Image result for cornfield and cypresses van gogh

Wind ripples wheat into
golden brown whipping cream;
stalks bend and sway in the summer sun
for the worship of his artistry.

Sky kisses the cedars and swirls
into the face of
a red-haired god enthroned
(for purple mountain's majesty).

Throwing his ear toward the heavens,
He laughs as the rain starts to fall.

  4. We used to grow wheat. Your poem brought the golden grains back to me.

    The picture reminded me of our lush fields. Thanks for sharing the slice.
